Hey Guys. Been awhile since i wrote in. Busy travels Contests have been going really well. Results so far are. 7th Switzerland world cup HP 4th Breckenridge Grande Prix HP 12th Xgames HP 8th Whistler Showdown 7th Calgary world cup HP 3rd Calgary World cup HP (A>D, Like the bet) 3rd Coors light Triple challenge HP 6th us open HP 6th stoneham World cup HP The Catalogue shoot in munich Was epic!! Thanks for the good times everyone on that Trip. I Also bought a sled off of one of justin davies buddies. Been out a couple times. SOO fun! Haven't had a lot of time to go out on it though. The open was pretty fun. Other than our basement flooding in belmont 40 mins away from stratton. Came home from our coach Abe Tetter's parents house to our basement having a couple new water falls from the windows pouring into the basement at 11pm before the qualifiers. Had pumps and trenches taking the water from the rain and super warm weather and tons of snow melting down hill in our basement diverted away from the windows. AWESOME! P.s Abe BBQ's a mean salmon though. Right after the Comp on sat had to drive 7 hours north to canada with SPY's very own Peter Anderson for a world cup on sunday that the national team has to be at. The pipe was pretty good and finished 6th on sunday in the world cup. Next stop nationals in calgary! Lata B-Rad

December 8th

December 2nd was a crazy day, Andrew Jackson and I met at 9:00am at the Callahan parking lot. Not much of a lot anymore as it is full of heavy machinery used for the construction of the Olympic Pavilion for 2010. Feeling confused as where to park we drove up the cat track a couple of KM's and just decided to park on the side of the cat track as there seemed to be no parking anywhere else. As we were getting ready we soon saw others do the same. We were supposed to meet two other shredders... We waited and waited…called and called, but in true Whistler spirit they showed up 1.5 hours late. Awesome.
While on the way up, one of the sleds decides to not work so well so we are delayed another 45 mins. Back on track we found some pillow and cliff lines. We hit them a few times until Andrew took a knee to the eye. We took this as a sign and decided to try to actually reach the backcountry.
Once we hit sled land the light had gone from bad to wirse, flat light is no good for snowboarding or taking photographs. The snow was very deep though, so we continued riding around for a few more hours looking for something, anything, to shoot. Anything that looked ‘sorta’ ok had the landing chewed apart by all the slednecks. With another snowmobile about to blow a belt, morale was low with the troops so we decided to make a quick exit before dusk set it. By the time we hit the parking lot Andrew's eye was beginning to show the tell tale signs of a ‘knee to face the shiner’…. I bet it looked awesome the next day!
Alas, not all face shots and first descents in the backcountry…haha, until next time, enjoy the snow!

Back to Snowy Squamish
Well, just got back home from Saas Fee, in time for some home renos and pow-riding. I was there for a few weeks. It was more then great to see old friends but there wasn't much snow at all. I think I had a better time jibbing on the snow patches by our hotel then on the hill since it got the best of me one day and I had to sit the rest of the trip out. It was also so windy everyday that the second World Cup pipe contest got canceled due to high winds. So with our free time we had to keep up the tradition and take it out on the Popcorn Bar. We left Saas Fee with more good stories and we all went to Zurich for our last night before going back to Canada. I had another great night with the National Team filled with good food, drinks and creepy guys. The boys almost all ended-up missing their flights as we woke them up the next morning as the shuttle was leaving for the airport. I pity the people that were sitting beside them for that 9 hour flight home. Landed in snowy Vancouver in -20 degree weather. Weird!! Time for sledding and powder turns.
P.S.: The last photo is the road up to Whistler from the city, but much closer to Vancouver, there's never any snow there, never!!!

This summer consisted of school, knee surgery rehab, and golf...That may sound a little dismal but it was in fact a much-needed, refreshing break from the go, go, go of the winter. Speaking of which, this one should be great. The snow is accumulating really fast, including on the local hills. I'll be riding for Grouse again this year and we're going to put on some banging contests with Pacific Boarder. The catalogue shoot is in Germany this year and promises to be as much fun as ever, though I'm really not sure whether we can top the RV trip last year. Super stoked for more time in Mammoth sun and Blackcomb fog....See ya.....T

Hello from Andrew Jackson,
My summer was crazy busy this year I worked at Camp of Champions on the Blackcomb glacier and had the best time ever! I decided to be crazy and still hold my night job all the way through so I worked from 11:00 pm till 7: 30 am at the hotel and then ran to meet my campers at breakfast, we would then shred all day on the sickest camp terrain yet and finish riding about 3:00 pm when we got down we would got to after camp activities till about 6:00 pm. I would then race home sleep for a few hours and start work again at the hotel
at 11:00 pm and my day would start over again. After 5 weeks of this I was ready to die but I had a great time shredding with all the campers and the other Ripzone boys.
After that madness I started working construction during the day to pay for my new sled so I would be debt free this winter and oh yeah and I still kept my night job! AHHHHH!
Anyway, The mountain opens soon and it is already starting to dump up here in Whistler so time to quit working and time to just play. I hope you all have a sick winter and I will see ya on the hill.
Peace

Hi Everyone!
How are you doing? I'm doing better now cuz I just had my first day of

the opening you will cross my track..hey hey!!
I did a photo shoot with Whistler Blackcomb for their web site and Vancouver
sun news paper, and the tv news from vancouver was there. so it was a big
deal for my first day and I got the shot of the day.

I wish I was in Hawaii but thers no snow ther so I'd rather be here. (Team Manager Pete Andersen demanded web updates from his hammock in Hawaii, ed)
Well my summer was AMAZING! I did a ton of sk8ing and a bit of biking and
well of course sleeping.
My dad baught a new boat and I did some wakeboarding. Just last weekend we got like 3 ft of snow up at Mt Washington and I went jibbin' and pow riding. Sickest time ever! It was so fun at the lake my buddies rented a house boat for the weekend, and I backflipped off the top right over the bow of another boat. I dont think my mom liked that idea, ahhaha... Than we went tubing, now that was a diffrent story. The tube we have is 1 were your able to control it with out the boat moving and it was really choppy. A big boat went by and left HUGE waves I hit them and it felt like I broke my back. I
was fine though. This winter I plan on riding with the team and I am coaching at Jump Camp at Forbidden this winter.

What to say, what to say....
Ummmm well Summer camp was a success there were more zangers (Ripzone Riders) employed in the COC army than ever before. It was a pleasure working with Andrew Jackson and G-off Brown. Pierce Mimura came back this summer to tear the park a new one. Congrats on winning gromfest that week Pierce.
My wife and I moved out of Cassa del Bannock and into our new humble abode castle Everest. We are in the proccess of decorating, Exciting stuff.
Its puking and apparently Whistler Blackcomb is opening next weekend.
I bumped into Eric Green at the Cold beer in wine store here in Squampton, I guess he and his crew were thirsty, while I was picking up a job application, they have a great benefit package and who wouldn't want to sell booze in Squamish. Hopefully I'll get the job, I could use the Mula.
I'm pretty much sticking close to home. I've got a really good feeling that we're getting snowed in this winter.
As far as contests go, the Telus and the Showcase Showdown are the ones I'm doing for sure. Oh yeah got really bored and took a knife to my head, and now I have a shit hawk going on. Hope everybody's doin good. I'll being seeing you soon, The Road Warrior is on, gotta go.
Peace

Ever since I was a kid I wanted to dress up as Spiderman for Halloween. I managed to dress up as a whole lot of other characters throughout the years, but Spidey, for some reason, always eluded me come Halloween. I could never find the right costume, the proper fit, or I would wait until too late and just throw on whatever I could find in the closet...not this year. This year I went out early and I found the perfect Spiderman costume. Tough considering I am 6’2” tall and 190 pounds. The tights ended up being a little revealing, but worth it, worth it for me anyway. Others that caught a glimpse of my ‘junk’ may have felt otherwise, but that wasn’t my concern. Anyway, here are a few photos, hope you all had a sweet Halloween!

Well, another one bites the dust. Mike Stastook decided to throw in the towel on single-hood and got married October 21st in Calgary, Alberta. I have to admit his new Wife Angela is a fantastic woman and way out of his league so he had to do what he had to do...know what I mean? On a serious note, congratulations to the new Mr and Mrs Stastook who are spending 2 weeks in Bali where Mike is pretending he has never been there before and that he doesn’t know any of the young boys running around.
I have to hand it to Mike, in a world where the woman calls all the shots when it comes to the wedding, Mike stood his ground and insisted the Groomsman wore Ripzone skate shoes so he could inject a little of his personality into the celebration. Check out the photos at the link below if you don’t believe me.
Here is a link to the photographers blog...the photos are pretty sick.

Hello!
It's been a while and I've been so far away from the snow. A month long surf trip in Mexico sounds like a dream and it really was. I think it was the best trip of my life I and I have pretty high standards. I left with my best friend Annie and we went straight to Sayulita where we met a lot of great friends. We surfed twice a day and live in little Palapas right on the beach right in front of the left and right break. It's dead season there so we were some of the rare tourists there, it was perfect. Then we met-up with Benji and his friend Luc and went down South to this Indian reserve to go surf La Ticla for 10 days. It was messy and big and then the Hurricane hit so we had to leave for a few days. It was pretty miserable but after I surf the biggest waves of my life and scared the crap out of myself. Annie and I then drove back up to Sayulita for a few more weeks and did lots of boat trips for the best surf ever. I just got back to Montreal a few days ago for family and to do a gymnastic camp with the National Team. I should be doing 1260's in no time. He he he ! Here are a few photos, my favorite one is me just a split second before eating it in the surf. Ya, you can blow it up and laugh at me all you want.

Whats up guys its not often that I type anything on the old computer here but just wanted to let you know what Ive been up to. After the june catologue shoot I hopped on a plane and travelled to the east coast for my brothers wedding. It was really great seeing my older brother Larry tie the knot he married this really cool girl named Maggie. It was also cool that she had the hottest brides maides ever. I was in the wedding and was wearing a tuxedo very rare for me considering the only suit I own is a wetsuit.

Then june rolled around and I decided to hang out a bit in new jersey to visit my family and my niece and nephew (who are cute as can be). While there I ended up getting some really good surf at my parents house in Long Beach Island. Unfortunately the weather was so hot and humid that I had to retreat back home.
When I got back to california I was greated by some great waves for three straight weeks. The pacific ocean served up overhead waves for me. When the waves finally died down I retreated for Mexico for some surfing and camping. While in mexico I found some fun uncrowded waves with just a few of my friends and some ladies. It was a good time filled with all you can eat lobster dinners.
Then September rolled around and I jumped on a plane for the east coast again. The first day I showed up the waves were absolutely flat so I decided to go have a few cocktails with some friends in Atlatic City. WOW!!!! Im glad I did. I ended up at a bar called Maloneys uptown, there my friends ended up hanging with some ladies they knew, I on the other hand started hanging with some ladies I didnt know..but 20 minutes later I was in a bus with about 10 girls who were celibrating there bachlorette party. They made me dance with my shirt off in the bus in exchage for rides all night to all the clubs in AC. Well worth it!! The rest is classified. The next morning came before I had a chance to rest but thats ok cause the waves were head high.
The waves have been good ever since then. I think there have been 2 or 3 hurricane swells while I have been here. One of them sent sick waves to Long Island New York during the Unsound Pro. The contest was unbelivable good waves good beer good times. I ended up making the quarterfinals an taking home some cash. But unfortunately got my wallet stollen while celibrating.
Back to New Jersey for the next comp, meanwhile the waves are still firing. At this point I had about 20 dollars and no car. I have been getting lifts from different people to get around over here, let me say things have been pretty interesting. The next comp was the Brave New World Hurley Pro in manasquan NJ. The first day was pretty big surf. I made all my heats to advance to the second day. Day 2 had super fun head high waves and some super gusty winds. It was cool everything worked out for me as I started winning all my heats to advance to the finals. Day 3 morning of the finals and boy was I nervous. I surfed my final and it was close apparently the top three of us in the four man final were only a total of 1 point apart. When all was said and done I ended up in 2nd.
Now Im just riding high cause the morning of the final I had 3 dollars to my name, but now I have $1303 dollars in the bank! I won an extra hundo for pulling an air.
I have 3 or 4 more comps on the east coast b4 I go back west. I will let you know how it goes in a few weeks,
whirled peas,

So I just got back from the trade show in San Diego, it was sweet, saw all the new video premiers, well kinda saw all of them had a few drinks in between. Parties right left and center! Here are a couple shots from the nights. The girls ready to go to the Transworld awards, me and Elana, trying to get the shot! and the Thirty-Two van trying to fit in the underground!!

Brad Martin recently made the age old snowboarder-coming-of-age trek across our great country to re-locate himself from Ontario to Whistler. His trip took 46 hour’s, here is his condensed version:

After a 46 hour drive I’m in Whistler! So I leave my house at 7am, about ten minutes later, Traffic! It was a great start. I got to Andrew Skelhorns house in Barrie around 9am and we play some tetras in the back of my truck to try and fit everything we have. The only thing that didn’t fit was Skelhorns scorpion. We leave Skelhorns house around 10, drive for a bunch of time. Our first goal is to get to Sault Ste. Marie which was about an 8 hour drive. After that we drove about 7 more hours to Thunderbay, Here’s the sunset as we get into Thunderbay, Where we were thinking about staying at my buddy Spencer’s house for a few hours of sleep Skelhorn decided he’ll go to sleep now and then I could, when I’m ready start driving again while he sleeps. (I have been driving since I left my house, but that was my choice…) Spencer feeds me some fantastic grub with milk which is what I needed. Thanks Spencer. I start the drive while Skelhorn sleeps. Couple hours later, Skelhorn takes over while I try to get some sleep. I start driving in the morning sometime, I looked in the mirror to see the sunrise. I took this through the mirror. Once we got out of Ontario The drive was not so fun Anymore because its very flat and straight That’s it! The next Exciting thing would be on our way out of Calgary to see SNOW! As we drive to Banff we find SNOW on the ground which was pretty rad to see on sept. 15th. The drive through BC was really rad but it was dark so we didn’t get to see much. So 46hours later, Many stops at McDonalds, $600’s in gas, Case of Redbull (thanks Kenny), 4300km’s later I’m in Whistler!
Also Because we had a place all set up and the dude rented it, Mer and her Family are letting me stay at there place. Thanks Nicoll Family. Great Family.

Hey Guys, Here's a copy of the photo we got in the Toronto Star from the kick off party for Wakestock '06, they had a street downtown Toronto shut down for this event, there was a mini-ramp for us, stunt bikers, motocross riders, loud tunes blaring and plenty of hot bud light girls cruising around. All in all it was a good event, we ended up skating the ramp from about 4pm till 11pm so it kicked ass!
Talk to ya soon!!

hi all,
how's it going? i'm doing great. down in NZ again for the month and loving it. got here like a week ago and moved into our sick houses. we got 3 houses for the team and they're all bangers. thanks to my amazing rock paper scissor skills i scored the master bedroom at our house, which sports a pretty sick view of the lake and the mtns and a nice little onsuite bathroom with hot tub! we've obviously been mostly riding but we've had a few down days being filled with mini golf and touristing around queenstown. unfortunately it was pouring rain so we couldn't do much outside (ie the downhill luge cart deals that we rode last year). so we're looking for a really cloudy day with no rain. aside from riding at snowpark we hit up cardrona for a day to check it out, and rolled over to treble cone today to ride some pow. cardrona is pretty mellow and had shit snow but the park is pretty fun, but not quite as good as snowpark's. treble was super fun. we kinda got sucker holed by the weather today. was supposed to be shit all weekend but we woke to bluebird skies and a foot of fresh at TC. so we rallied over there and enjoyed a few really good runs with the famous TC view before the weather moved back in and started dumping again. it was the worst whiteout i've seen in a long time, add to that that i was freeriding on an unknown mtn and it made for
some good times lapping the hill. after finding my way back to the lodge, i was thinking the day was over... until we had to make the drive back down. treble cone i think has the sketchiest road i've ever seen to get to a hill. lots of switchbacks, no guard rails, super steep road, a really steep hillside and dumping snow or pouring rain down lower. you're more or less ready to jump at the door of the car at anytime should something go wrong. i've seen de-activated logging roads which are mellower. so the day was awesome. there's a lot of friends in town from all over so i'm getting excited for my birthday party next weekend. it's gonna be fun. the girls have volunteered their house for it and everyone is stoked on coming out. wish you guys could make it. i'm off to bed in hopes of the weather clearing for tomorrow.

Hi guys, Well most of the summer has come and gone very quickly once again and action packed. Tried to spend lots of my time on the lakes with friends and some time back home in Montreal for my brothers wedding. Had surgery on my arm and then coached MGT camps on Whistler glacier. Had a few memorable parties like our pirate one that was better then most Halloweens. The pictures are pretty funny. Just came back from the best camping trip I've ever done I think. We rented double sea-kayaks and launched them just South of Squamish and crossed the "channel area" and one hour later we had our private Island. We cooked-up some diner and had some drinks by the fire watching the shooting stars and listening to the Killer Whales "Orcas" tap their tales on the water calling each other for feeding all night. Ya!!! It was crazy. Leaving tomorrow for New Zealand. It took me so long to pack trying to figure out what you need to go back snowboarding in -15 degree Celsius. Can't wait. See you down under.

HELLO.... I am in New Zealand right now spent my bday on the plane for the second year in a row. Anyways NZ is pretty rad! I tweaked my ankle a bit so I haven't been riding much had a couple decent pow runs at Trouble Cone, Also have been riding at snowpark and Cardorna. Its very cold here compared to Ontario. Very!
submitted by Brad

So the best weekend of the summer has just come to an end...Wakestock! It was once again on Centreville Island in Toronto. This year was sick! The weather was perfect, the parties were better and the riding was super good.
Thursday and Friday were the am contests, warm-ups and qualifying for the pros. Friday night there was the Riverboat tour around Toronto which was pretty cool. We just drove around the lake drinking from 8 to 10 and then got dropped off at the Docks bar where they had a winch pool setup right in the bar. A 30 foot pool to a slider to another 30 foot pool. I was in no shape to hit the pool after the boat tour and was to judge.   This bar   had everything, from a swimming pool to batting cages and even one of those huge cable swings!
Saturday I awoke (feeling amazing of course), and headed to the island for the pro wakeskate qualifier. With just my luck I was seeded poorly and had to face last years champion. I rode well and came out on top, making it to the Elite 8. That night the Docks again. Same thing but instead of a winch pool they had a nighttime big air contest in front of the bar.
Sunday, the finals. I didn't ride as good as I hoped but ended up tied for 5 th , and couldn't complain after such a sick weekend. Reef Bikini contest, beer gardens, bands, everything you could want. Even if you don't like wakesports. So if you weren't there...where were you?
submitted by - Harlos

So I just got done with coaching a session at hood(HCSC), it was sick, nice weather, all girl group, and a day of wakeboarding!
Before coaching I was in the ASJ contest. I did the quarterpipe and thehalfpipe and ended up getting second in the pipe.

July... sometime
I wake up; struggle out of bed, lots of moans and groans, I limp to my window to see another blue bird day here in Whistler. "Just F'n Great." I hate being injured.
About a week ago, I was carted out of Camp of Champions while coaching on a 40ft box. I dislocated my pelvis and now, my new best friend is a giant cold ice pack. I'm so bored!!! (pictures to follow soon)
I was going through my computer and found a video I made earlier this season. It's a clip of me spinning in the Blackcomb Park. Enjoy.
